We have some exciting news – we have listened to your feedback and have launched Star Pubs and Bars 'Buying Club'.


When we spoke to you last year, you asked for help to drive top line growth and save money – from that feedback we created 'Buying Club' which provides you with savings on a variety of services through our key suppliers.


Since then we have gathered more research from licensees into the key opportunities and challenges facing the pub trade and we have added six new suppliers.


With one third of the 500 licensees polled highlighting staff recruitment and retention as their biggest issue, Star is introducing Neo Recruitment to the Club.


Increasing footfall emerged as a priority for 25% of licensees questioned. This has led to the addition of audiovisual company TVC UK, to help those looking to maximse trade from the Euros and Olympics, and outdoor experts Woodberry to support the record number of operators wanting to increase trading space by developing their outdoor areas.


Launched in October, the Buying Club includes 19 approved suppliers and has saved licensees £500,000 on goods and services to date. Star calculates that the average pub could see annual cost reductions of £7,500 through the Club’s deals.
